Sorry if this is a bit of a beginner question, but I thought that the Paph guys would know straight away. So:
I bought a Paph jackii x armeniacum from a reputable supplier at RHS Tatton Park summer show, in flower. (1st pic). Within about three weeks the flower dropped off and I left the stem to die back a little before I would remove it. That was about another four weeks ago. Instead of dying back, the pod behind the flower (the ovary?) is still green.
My questions are:
- Does this mean it got fertilised at the growers? I didn't have any other Paphs in flower at that time.
- What do I do if it has set seed? Remove it so that the plant saves its energy for further growth?
- Or have a go at raising Noid Paphs from seed?
All comments would be appreciated
Thanks
