Default Paph. appletonianum

Here's a first blooming seedling of Paphiopedilum appletonianum. This one has outstanding form and coloration for this species; a very pleasing 'suprise' outcome...

This lithophytic or terrestrial species is a native to Thailand and Laos, found at 450m to 600m elevation.

Very elegant. I would not mind owning one. Congrats!

I agree with Marty, great photo and great flower, you know I was hoping it would win the long term project so I could have one, too! But I think I'll just have to get one on my own. Nice job!
