Hi Guys
New to the paph world. I have one a Callosum/Ruby Leopard cross and it's currently in spike. My question is that two of the leaves have developed brown spots. They almost look like rust and they do not penetrate through the entire leaf. It's in an east window with all of my phals and receives dappled early morning light and indirect the rest of the day. Is this a sign of too much water? It's in a mix of coco I'm assume which seems rather dense and is quite foreign to me as I'm used to bark. Any help would be appreciated.
I don't know what it is but I do find that the mottled leaf type paphs are more sensitive then the strapped leaf paphs. Paphs don't mind being dense as long as the media is well drained with good moisture retention.
I would try dabbing some fungicide on the leaves and keep fanned until the problem passes.
Is the window area to cold?
I would check on the roots to make sure their okay
Did you get water on the leaf and it didn't get wiped off? I find mine don't like water on the leaves.
Not sure, Curtis, but I don't think it's anything too serious. Welcome to OB!
