Dark Vini colored Maudie type Paphiopedilum
Hi! This is my first time to post in this Orchid board and to start is to post my dark Vini colored Maudie type Paphiopedilum (Anhinga x Hsinying Magic). It is surprising that it has the same number Paphiopedilum species on both parent just varying in percentage, which are Paph. callosum, Paph. lawrensianum, Paph. curtisii, Paph. purpuratum, Paph. barbatum, Paph. mastersianum, and Paph. sukhakulii.

Welcome Ramon, it has a little bit of everything in it. Like Heinz 57 ketchup. I like the pouch, it seems almost black in the photo.

That is a beautiful flower. Nature does beautiful things! I'm at a loss trying to understand the numbers issue. Is it the same for all orchids? Does the percentage change with different flowers colours etc?

Nice one, Ramon, and welcome aboard. Don't see too many folks from Reno here. Sometimes I feel so lonely. Sob Sob.

I am thinking of obtaining this one as my first paph, Has anyone given s/h a try? I am thinking of a controlled trial everything the same except potting media and water. One in the media it grows in and potting up as needed the other s/h. Same temp, and lighting.
