Default Paph. Michael Koopowitz

After 2 years of watching MK throw out leaf after leaf, I was concerned that I had leaf rot when I was watering this morning. I noticed brown in the crown of the plant. I put my glasses on to inspect it and was amazed to see it was actually a bud ! Now begins the agonizing wait to see if I can successfully bring it to flower.

I feel your pain about waiting for a plant to bloom. I also thought the same thing last year when my first paph re-bloomed!

It looks very healthy!

I'll be sure to keep you posted on the progress. I've never seen one flowered live, only in pictures. I was really suprised how fast the bud appeared. When I watered on Wednesday there was nothing that I noticed, and then on Saturday, there it was sticking out.

Wow, I think I would have suspected rot as well, having never seen a paph bud forming.

I bet you are so excited, I can't wait to see your pics when it flowers.

Default MK update

Here's a picture of the spike 2 1/2 weeks later. Right now I can see 4 buds The spike seems to grow about 3/4 of an inch each day. This is getting exciting !
