Default Green/White Paph. Maudiae Hybrid

and I ordered my first Paph a few days ago and it arrived today, safe and sound. It's so beautiful and has one bud!! I can't wait for it to open so I can post a of the bloom!! I'm so excited to be branching out into different alliances! Here is a picture of the plant as it is now. More will follow, with lots of questions, I'm sure!!!

A few months ago I decided to order my first Paph, after something like 28 years of growing orchids. For whatever reason, they always scared the hell out of me. Well, it's thrived, bloomed, and made me so happy that it now sits among a dozen of its bretheren, several others of which are blooming or in bud.

Good luck with this, but WATCH YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!

How do you watch your bank account jkofferdahl? I have only been growing for a few months, since around September and I already have 10 orchids. My husband is already saying "I'm used to it" when I tell him I bought another one!
I really hope I can get this beauty to bloom again, for me!! I worry so much that I will not get any of my orchids to bloom for me!

Well, Amanda, I don't watch it as well as I should!

What I do is make sure bills are paid, retirement accounts are contributed to, and my children have extra spending cash. Then, whatever is left is fair game! And after I buy an orchid or two I consider groceries...

You sound like me!! I don't have any kids, so that leaves more for me to buy orchids. These groceries you speak of how do you go about acquiring these things?

I am a sucker for green things!!! Being that green is my favorite color and orchids are my favorite plant, it just seemed like the natural way to go!!! I hope to all things orchid that I don't kill this beauty!!! Any and all help with this baby would be sooooooooooooo appreciated!! When the time comes for re-potting, what do I use? Are the lights I have okay?!! The humidity is horrible right now, even with a humidity tray, it's still only about 30%!! Will I get it too bloom again, since I won't be able to get the temperatures down the 15 degrees to get it to bloom, this goes for all my orchids!! I know I'm a worrier, but aren't these things necessary?
