¿what paph should i get? <(º-º)> & other questions

im sort of new to orchids and i really like the way paphs look so im thinking of buying another one but dont know wich one to get
i have one paph but i am trying to revive it " got it from lowes for cheap because it pretty much looks dead but it now has 2 new growths forming from the rhizome." any tips on helping it regain health?

I would recommend either a Paph. malipoense or a Maudiae type as they are pretty easy to grow and flower. The malipoense also has the benefit of being scented, which is a nice bonus.

As for your existing Paph, make sure the potting medium is still fresh and airy, and not broken down and compacted, which will make it hold too much water. Did you repot it when you got it? Most of my Paphs like to be repotted - though there are a couple exceptions - and will go through a good growth spurt when put into fresh medium.

thank you for the info and yeah i repotted my existing paph. when i got it but i think it is due to be repotted again come winter.
