Bilambil = (Paphiopedilum Ayjay x Paphiopedilum Paeony), 1983, no awards yet. Your clonal name is probably just an indication of its origin.
Swanilda = (Paphiopedilum Bradford x Paphiopedilum F. C. Puddle), 1961, and it has one award, 'Orchidhurst' in 1967
Gaymaid = (Paphiopedilum Dramatic x Paphiopedilum Chianti), Ratcliff, 1968. Five awards.
Now what is this other, Fyans Creek? I can't find a record of it.

The Bilambil was a seedling my Uncle flowered some years ago & the variety is my Aunts name. I now have every clone of it, about 10 plants. The cross was made by an Australian Nursery no longer in business. It has an HCC from the Australian Orchid Council. The registration of the name Fyans Creek is under way, the parents are Tearlath x World Leader.

Snow, complex Paphs are probably the easiest Paphs to grow of all. They grow warm or cool ( min 5c ) don't like like being hot ( above 30c ). Generally they flower every year, will make multiple growths on most crosses. Depending on your growing area, light intensity can vary. I grow them where I mostly control the light so that if you wave your hand over the plant a light but distinct shaddow is seen.
As for species and primary hybrids it all depends on what it is or the parents used, Brachy, Parvis, multi florals etc.
Not all or at times many will grow with complex, again its down to the conditions you provide.

Yes I have noticed that the complex hybrids often have multiple growths from every fan, I have one with one bloomed fan and five new growths in just a year, I dont know about them being fussy about the heat though, I grow mine 60-70 degrees F (15-21 C) during the winter and during summer they go outside where it is 60 at night and often 95+ during the day (35 C) and they dont seem to mind, as long as I water them. I grow them under flourescent during the winter and half shade during the warmer months. Cattleyas and vandas grow right next to them.

What you have done is what is right for your plants. If itdidn't work you would have to change, correct ??
This is where many growers of any orchid genus fail and then complain. They don't get the basics right or they are trying to grow a specific orchid under the wrong conditions and fail through whatever means to understand what they are doing is wrong, then blame the orchid.
