I'll have to see if I can get my import permit authority expanded to include orchids. The Cryptocoryne permit I got for bring plants back from the European Crypt. Society meetings was a snap. Then with a bit of luck my wife and I will have an excuse to make another trip to Switzerland.

You folks are producing some beautiful plants that are not available in the US.

Cheers.
Jim

Ramon;

What size S/H pots do you generally transfer to?
I just rescued a Paph. 'Maude's Ruby' from a local nursery I plan to switch to S/H. It currently is in a pot 8 x 8 x 9 cm.

It has 2 roots about 8 cm long. What size S/H pot would you change it into?

Thanks.

Cheers.

Hi Jim, sorry I did not replied earlierto this post. I was away during August, and when I came back there just so many messages, that I just decided to ignore them all (my apologies)

As for your question, I grow most of my Paph (small sized) in square pots I made out of tupper-ware (15 cm tall), and the large ones are grown in 20 cm tall S/H pots from Ray, which I ordered long.

... and being back on this thread, a new picture of the same plant blooming for second time this year. This flower is more yellow/orange than the previous one (I assume effect of light)
