Oooo, I wanted that Puppetanz. Used to have a nice big one but I lost it to rot. Darn border rules stopped me from getting three ahead of you...lucky guy!

These came in today from Norman's Orchids. I was disappointed by the size of most of them, all except the sanderianum were advertised as NBS, but the only one I could see blooming anytime soon is the Iantha Stage. I am reserving final judgment until I hear back from their customer service department, but they sure didn't make a good first impression.
Left to right: Harold Koopowitz, sanderianum, rothschildianum, hangianum x roths., and Iantha Stage.

that's the trouble with "near blooming size," it means absolutely nothing. they should really advertise by leaf span so that you have an objective measurement. of course, it helps to know how big the plant is when mature...
I don't have anything I purchased from that vendor, but my free orchid for joining AOS came from them, and I got my mom a blooming phal from them. both were as advertised.

I love the paphs myself. My wife is from up north and when she found out that paphs are grown here, she went nuts. I started out with just one and I proceeded to kill it....LOL
Last year during the Christmas party for our orchid society, one of the vendors brought paphs in for a door prize for everyone. I happened to get Paph Lyro-Blackhawk and I had it for a month and believe it I was the only one that got that plant to get it to bloom. Now you know what that means.....hooked!!
Now I have over 22 plants now....and not stopping!!

Well, no response from Norman's, so a big thumbs down for them, I'll spend my money elsewhere in the future.

It's so important to check our vendor thread for feedback, which does not give free reign to belittle any vendor but personal feedback tastefully is most definitely a great source of information. There are so many of our members who have experienced great finds from orchid growers, it just really disappoints me that any company either chid related or not can share in what they feel is their priceless treasure being our junk. I hope a CSR contacts you soon in order to experience purchaser feedback for the betterment of its company.
I personally think your chids look great and have had times where I had expected a buy to be different than arrival appearance. Unfortunately it is the nature of the beast for sight-unseen. gl and keep sharing in the growth of your new buy.
