Paphiopedilum Druid Spring (primulinum X druyi)
I bought this one in 2006 from Krull Smith and it flowered for me that Spring, but did absolutely nothing last year except grow...
This year it surprised me with 3 spikes! I guess it was making up for lost time

Really nice flower! I tend to like the green/whites in Paphs. Guess that's why I have so many.

As I explained in another thread, I really don't grow them much like Paph's. My orchid room is bright and hot. Usually well into the 90's and about 50% light, though I do try and keep them near the bottom of the room. They get watered every sunny day in the summer and every other day for the most part during shady days for most of the year.
I tried growing them as I was instructed when I first started growing 3 years ago, but that didn't seem to work for me, as most of them didn't bloom and the plants themselves looked awful. I decided that they needed to fit into my system, so that's what I have done...along with trying to mainly ignore them so that I wouldn't get too pissed off when nothing was happening

Sorry to make you repeat yourself, I guess I didn't read the other thread, sometimes I can be such a .
Though based on what you do, I can say that maybe the problem with my paphs is that I'm giving them too much attention, heck, I know more about what's going on with my chids than I do my hubby....

The other thing that I forgot to mention is that I hardly ever repot and the paph's are a classic example...
They have been in the same pots for 2-3 years!
For some reason the thought of repotting paph's scares me so I tend to leave them alone, as long as the plants look fine.
In my case, I have evolved as a grower, so these same plants have gone through many changes of scenery. The first year I grew them on my front porch and wintered them in the house (wouldn't advise this, as I had no provisions for extra light so they just got the ambient light from the window...) Then I converted an old horse stall into an orchid room for the winter , but it had a metal roof, so they still only got slight southern exposure. Then last winter we put a 50% plastic roof on...
Through it all surprisingly I have lost very few orchids.
