Paph venustum album in bloom
Another one from the Lansing show this spring. The vendor (Zepherus) suspected it would bloom this year. This is a very small-growing orchid in a 2.5" pot.
Paph venustum album is a cross of 'Pippin' x 'Limey'
Thanks for looking.

Very nice, Ross! I love the Paphs but, given my current growing space, haven't gotten one because I can never find any that small in size. I'm going to have to keep a lookout for this one!
Thanks for sharing!

Hi Ross
Beautiful picture, specially the close up. I was wondering what kind of camera you shot that with. How you shot it. Did you use a tripod? Mine always come out a little fuzzy when I get that close even with the macro setting. Again amazing pic great clarity/detail.

I use a Nikon D200. I made this image with a Nikon 105mm micro (the new model) which is arguable one of the sharpest lenses out. I use a very heavy Gitzo trip, an electronic remote shutter release, full spectrum CF bulbs in photo reflectors, etc. I have a home studio for this work. Hope this helps.

Awesome orchid! Saw it only one time and never found a seedling or even an adult to sell!
