Paphiopedilum sanderianum looking for care and fertilizing info
Hello, I'm pretty new at growing orchids, and do so here in Phoenix AZ. I grow indoors under LED grow lights. Have been mostly into cattleya orchids, but have recently been taken by the beauty of paph sanderianum. I'm retired with nothing but time on my hands, so don't mind spending my days looking after my orchids.
As these are notorious sloooow growers, I opted to buy a muture plant from normans orchids, that should bloom by this time next year. He specializes in phaps and has many YouTube videos. He also sells a orchid fertilizer, he helped develop.
Norman has been lots of help but would like to hear what others say about your experience growing paph sanderianum.
Thanks Estación for the guidance to use this site better.

You're welcome! And you're in luck. The Desert Valley Orchid Society 2024 Show and Sale is this coming weekend. Most of our Society will be there. You will be able to ask questions of very experienced growers. Read more about it here:

How are you so knowledgeable about my area?
Where are you?
Thank you for taking the time to locate this resource for me. I have joined this group early last year. Yes, I'll be working the show and helping out where needed.
Currently we meet once a month for 2hrs. Hard to get to know folks when you have very little time at the meeting, which usually have a guest speaker. Will probably make new friends here faster.
Looking forward to getting to know you folks who are also into phaps.

If you look above OB messages, the username is on the left and location can be on the right. You can edit your User Control Panel to add this. Look at the maroon menu above, User CP.

I moved this to the Paph thread, so you might pull some more responses than the Introductions thread. Intro thread is more about introducing yourself. The "Beginners" thread or specific genus thread usually draws more response when asking questions about a particular orchid.
