Is tree fern a good medium for paphs and phrags?

I don't grow that many Paphs and Phrags. I have used it in net pots for deciduous Dendrobiums, some Draculas, a couple of Vandaceous things, Dendrochilums, and Oncidinae. All things that like to be both damp and airy. So I'm using mostly where I had been using sphagnum in those net pots. so far, I'm really pleased, seeing some good growth. (6 months or so... long enough to see progress, not yet long enough to say that this is the Holy Grail)
