Paphiopedilum Concolor sequential bloomer? Male
Default Paphiopedilum Concolor sequential bloomer?

Lovelies! Can anyone of you tell me if P. Concolor is a sequential bloomer? So far I only have a p. Pinocchio and this one for sure is sequential. Any other recommendations?

Paph. concolor is not a sequential bloomer although it will sometimes have two flowers per spike. For sequential bloom you want something from the Cochlopetalum. section. These would include P. glaucophyllum, moquetteanum, liemianum, etc.

concolor tends to produce 2 or 3 flowers (maybe even 4 on occasion). they kind of are semi-sequential in opening (they all are, really, even with multiflorals they don't open all at once), but wouldn't confuse with the true sequential bloomers listed above that can bloom for 12-24 months per spike.
