its got at least 3 flowers maybe 4 in the pouch..

I got to grow this one out, no free flowers from this one..

2nd bud opened. The petals are getting longer on the 1st its crazy. These paphs put out an incredible amount of energy to make these flowers. I am standing beside myself in awe

its been halted at 4 flowers

The fifth wasn't dropping the petals and so I had a look and found 2 tiny caterpillars had been gorging on them inside the lip. Squashed em real good, but they got my flower.

Moths. I keep the lights off at night to keep em down. Where I'm at is next to moth city. Hawk moths will wreck your plants. They are also known as sphinx and hummingbird moths.

What do the moths do to the plants? Or is it their caterpillars that are the problem? We have a lot of Sphinx moths over here as well.

yes the moths they leave behind their young (eggs)to devour your unborn flowers when they turn into caterpillars.

I have the web worm moths mostly that come out of the grass in the yard.

but they leave behind eggs that will ruin your buds and flowers when they turn into feeders..(

the hawk moths are just huge and if they land on your plant they break them . not much you can do about that but why I put a bamboo stick in front of the buds and blooms on occasion. Keeps my arm from flinging around and breaking things too..
