Hi - I love Paphs and I'm looking for a few Paphs that will bloom sequentially while I wait for my annual Paphs to bloom. I am aware there is a list of sequential bloomers available, but what is your experience? Thanks!

Hi I have a NOID phah, well I wasn't always.. I just lost the tag oops.

anyways, I am pretty sure it had Paphiopedilum philippinense as one of its parents, or is somehow related.
Mine started blooming in December, or late November, and is STILL blooming now. I had two spikes, with four flowers on each. The spike from the largest of last years growths brached out with another flower, which lasted until Feb., and then put out another but that is still blooming today.

Heres a pic

I have Paph. liemianum which I absolutley LOVE. It is so danged cute. I was told it could bloom for up to 9 months from the same spike and could hold 1-2 blooms at a time. Right now it's sporting 2 blooms. I don't see a down side to the sequential bloomers. HTH

oOOh I just googled that phaph. VERY nice! I am normally not to fond of phaphs, but I really like that one. Is the 'slipper' part actually purplish? Thats how they look in pictures.

Sequential blooming paphs??????? No such animal.....or at least that is what my four paphs are telling me as they sit there like a bump on a log!!!!!! Oh yea, they're always bragging about their leaves only! Hmmmm, I'm going to watch this thread and see what interesting names I can pick up. Great question Andrea.

Here's a link to my liemianum thread. I would say the pouch is more of a deep rose color than purple. Paph. Pinocchio is a sequential hybrid that's a cutie too. Colors and shape are very similar to liemianum but paler.

Your liemianum is GORGEOUS! What beautiful colors and cute "mustache!" These would be so nice to have year-round. I must find one of these...in bud, hopefully, but I will take a blooming size. Thank you for the recommendation.

Oh Doc! I love Paph. Vanguard. What's the parentage on that one, and how big does it get? Thanks

I trust the attached pics will answer your query. If not, let me know....'cause sometimes I suffer from having moments of being brain-dead. As for the cross, well, I'm no expert when it comes to such things...I just enjoy. But I believe it is rothschildianum x glaucophyllum....I'm sure others more with the program than myself could answer this part of the question....thanks
