I just recently acquired a paph primulinum X Paph. sanderianum from a friend. And have heard that this species gets long curly petals? I looked it up online and have seen that the original species sanderianum gets long twisty petals.. but does the hybrids get the same effect too??
Also any other special requirements for this plant.. aside from the regular paph culture.. that i should know about?
Yes it gets real long petals, and most of the crosses get them also, the one thing about this species is it grows real slow it can take years before you see flowers. It likes higher light them most Paphs. Good luck. Jim.

I heard that these also need limestone additives is this true??
Yes, I add dolomite lime on top of most of my paphs, since in nature many grow on limestone cliffs. Some people add oyster shell, egg shell, etc. The calcium will certainly help the paph.
