Yeah, I'm saving up some "butter & egg money" in case I ever come across a vendor that has Lc. Ecstacy 'Orchidglade' for sale. I have had two near misses trying to buy this plant.

The most expensive neo sold on record was a giant Tenkeifukurin (100+ growths) that sold for USD $300,000!!!! Came in a $7000 pot! Imagine!

I bought a paphiopedilum rothchildianum for 175.00 in spike at show, large plant, still have in collection. Been growing orchids for over 30 years, I use to go to Stewarts orchids back in the 80s and they had a Blc. Ports of paradise for 350.00 in there catalog, today they are 20.00 on eBay. Saw a show on tv a long time ago and they showed a 50,000.00 dollar paphiopedilum.
For a lot of wealthy people in LA, $650.00 for a color pot that will be thrown away when done blooming is not a big deal. The maid can probably order something that cheap without notifying the owner of the house.

I remember Stewarts. Weren't they in Culver City? Loved that place!
