I've posted this yet to be named clone before. I think the overall quality is really nice, possibly awardable. The color is certainly fantastic for the species, even if my crappy photos fail to convey it. And it's nice and fragrant! The fragrance of P. schlimii is actually one of my favorite orchid scents, it holds a lot of nostalgia for me. My sense of smell interprets the fragrance as rose perfume. It reminds of certain artificial rose scents.

The plant produced massive growths last year when I grew it on the shady side. This year's growths are much smaller for some reason, but regardless, it decided to bloom, so it must still be happy.

This is by far one of my favorite scents!!
To me it smells like the sweetest of candy.

For some reason I have had trouble with this orchid. it seems to rot very easily at the bottom.
I bought my 2nd schlimii in October after my first one passed on. Hopefully i'll be more successful with this one.

I had no idea that any of the Phrags were fragrant. That is pretty cool. It is really pretty, too. Congratulations!

Sorry to hear about yours, Plodde.

Amazing! I see now why this one is popular. Great description of the scent. I would not mind having this one myself.
