Default Phrag. Seymour Tower

Phrag. Seymour Tower = dalessandroi x schlimii

Not the best photos, but while I was snapping pics of the Phrag. Cape May County 'Pizazz' x klotzscheanum, I grabbed some of this flower as well.

The flower itself reminds me a lot of the P. Hanne Popows I used to see when I first started discovered Phrags. The nice pinks and slightly wavy/curly bicolor petals are attractive, though perhaps not as en vogue as the solid colored and flat flowers like some of the newer crosses. It's also nice because it's got that lovely P. schlimii fragrance! Even better, the spike produces branches, so it's a definite keeper.

I posted the last photo because it was taken without the flash, and while it's a little blurry, it's the most accurate in terms of color, or at least it seems that way on my laptop. It's definitely more of a light pink with a bit of orange/yellow tint to it. And the yellow on the staminode screams at me.

Beautiful flower as always. You seem to have a wonderful talent caring for Paphs. and Phrags.!

I am also trying to take a picture that captures the coral tones in my Phrag. Eric Young today. It has been rather daunting to say the least. I want to post pictures that represent the flowers most accurately but it is proving very difficult. I think I have gotten fairly close and will post several shortly.

I just have a point and shoot camera, and in combination with the blue/blue-green spectrum of the fluorescent tubes, makes getting accurate colors difficult sometimes.

If I get some time this weekend, I'll try to capture a few more photos in natural sunlight

That is pretty. I got one of these and the flowers are ill-shapen, though I discovered that it had hardly any roots, so while it had the energy to flower, it didn't seem to have enough to form it well.

Beautiful! I love the form and soft colouring.
