Phrag besseae
Picked this up, in bud, at the WOC this week.
First bloom opened today
The bud above it actually has two buds in there...is that the norm?

Stinker! I've had one for a year now...three growths and still no bloom. They are sequential so two buds is good!

Beautiful, Sue.
What is the full name of it? I have a 'Neon Fire' seedling that will be close to that color one day.
How many orchids did you come home with from the WOC?

Sue,
Having multiple blooms on Phrag besseae isn't unusual especially with more mature plants. Some of mine have produced around a dozen flowers sequentially with branching.

Sue, I heard people grow these with wet feet (submersed roots). Is this true? Is that the way you grow these? If so, I love semi-aquatics!! But my heart tells me that this is not true.
