Do you want to share your culture on this one (obviously successful), so that you can ummm 'enable' a few of us backseat lusters to go buy one ?

Sure, but keep in mind that I have only been growing this amazing orchid for less than a year, maybe a more experienced grower can give better details. It was the previous owner that grew it to such a nice size.

It is planted in mainly seedling bark with a small amount a pumice-like rocks. It is in a large, 12" diameter and taller than it is wide, plastic container with only drainage holes at the bottom. I water it from the top and allow the water to pool in a very large saucer underneath the pot. I try to let it stand in at least an inch of water at all times. I lightly fertilize since there's standing water and keep it in fairly bright light, almost cattleya strength but not quite as strong.

If you coaxed blooms out of it after about a year, I'd say it's pretty happy. What temperature ranges are you keeping it at?

Normal house temps. 63 at night 68-70 during the day. It is currently in a large direct South facing window. But since it's winter in Ohio it's not too much direct sunlight or heat. I will move it when the temps warm up and the sun is more direct.
