That is lovely, just how big of a bloom is it?

Thanks for the info on giving them higher light. I've got Olaf Gruss that is not happy with me at all. Coupled with my under-watering tendencies I'll bet I've got it in too dark of a location. I'm going to move it tomorrow.
You must not have them setting in saucers of water then, right? I was told and I believe Mr.HappyRotter was one of them, to do this. I know as an underwaterer myself it goes against all of my instincts but I am doing it.

The first flower to open, the one in the photos, is about 13 cm across and 9 cm tall, which is 5" x 3.5" in American.

Glad the wet growing routine is going well. I've known a lot of people who have been extremely hesitant to leave the saucers sitting in water, but it's true, a lot of these phrags simply do better when grown that way. Though there are exceptions, Sunset Glow is not one. Being my biggest phrag, it's also one of the thirstiest.

Its very nice and I do see the toothed edges on the petals. I have never before seen an orchid flower with this feature.
The 4N refers to tetraploid number of chromosomes? Just to confirm.
