Default Cypripedium acuale

Hi all,

I was bird watching in the Adirondacks in mid June and on one of the trails I found several of these beauties in bloom. I was planning to go see them on Long Island at the end of May, where and when I usually see them. I missed my chance and figured I would have to wait till the next year. But as luck has it I ran into these. And also some pics of its companion plants out in the wild. Forgive the bad photography as lighting was rather challenging in the deep forest on a cloudy day. No tripod.
