agree. still the name "kovachii"is wrong in my opinion, but you know how egocentric people can be (kovach been one),
also a rule is not always fair, or right. but yes i agree rules are rules.
in peru it is called by some as PERUVIANUM OR PERUVIANA , regardless of what taxonomist rules says. they dont really care about those rules. they are very proud of their peruviana/peruvianum hence the AKA used here, to respect those who use the name and might be reading)
about kovach, i heard that things did not ran well for him afterwards, i heard he died, but before that lost his collection of plants, got 1 year of community service and to top it 1000 USD fine. all this for a plant?
yes he got immortalized for finding the plant IN A LOCAL MARKET, also for "honestly" stealing it without permits, hA! but i think the cost of having his name immortalized was far greater than having a plant carrying his name.
*honestly word used because he paid for it in local market, (he did not found it ) before running away , illegally with his precious cargo.
