it is a beautiful bud! I cant wait to see the flower! I must admit, I am partial to the green ones with the long mustacioes! good growing!

Oops, forgot to post pictures of the flower... The bud opened the day after I took the picture actually, so i was a bit surprised.

The second bud opened yesterday, so it's not fully stretched yet:

Thanks guys! It's a good first-time bloomer, behaving really well. Hopefully, mommy Green Hornet is going to spike too, which would be great, 'cause that one has gotten some rather big fans for some reason. It would be interesting to see if the flowers got bigger too.

I think the red/pink ones tend to be more popular, since they are so eye-catching. I wanted a Green Hornet because of the distinct spotting inside the pouch (from pearcei), and because of the pinkish petals (from longfolium). It's a nifty little Phrag, that seems quite happy with the care I'm giving it.
