Phrag Grande
Finally, I've found a Phrag that likes me!!! My father gave me this over 3 years ago and it is now flowering for the first time for me. Had a run of bad luck with phrags...first thrips...then rot from spraying for thrips....hopefully now things are turning around. People keep telling me they are fairly easy to grow. Sorry about the poor pics and bad background, didn't want to be moving around, liable to drop and break spike. Thanks for looking.

Beautiful! One of my all time favorites. So you don't have a cat around that would play with the petals do you? I'm afraid that when my Paph. sanderainum blooms my cat will play with the petals. I'll have to come up with something...

Nope, no cat in the house (she stays outside/garage)....but if i did and if it messed with my sanderainum..... ....not really sure what I'd do....husband would say a bullet would fix that...but nope....never could....even my sand......Looking forward to seeing how long the petals will grow on this one...taking it to a show this weekend, so hoping it doesn't get "messed up" too badly.

Beautiful! I'm still waiting for mine to bloom and I've had it for years. It is an unknown hybrid. I have hope, though. It has been in s/h in lava rock for over a year now and it is very happy. I'm finding that it likes more light than I would have expected.
