Like Joe, I grow all my slippers in windowsills. A south window is best for the large mutliflorals (roth crosses, etc). Most of mine are in a direct, unobstructed east window. I grow several mottled-leaved types, parvis, brachys and sequential bloomers in my warmer east window, but keep the plain-leaved cool species (gratrixianum, insigne, spicerianum, etc) in a cool east window. Only the multiflorals don't do well (grow but shy blooming) since they need higher light. Brachys and parvis are slightly more challenging than the rest. Brachy and parvi hybrids, especially crossed with sequential bloomers, are much easier, at least for me.
What's your experince Joe?
