With RO water you definitely need to fertilize. If it is potted in bark, use a 3:1:1 ration, like 25-10-10, or 15-5-5 - but at 1/2 strength and fertilize every other watering to flush it out. If you have it in any other mix then use a 1:1:1 ration, like 10-10-10 or 15-15-15 or 20-20-20. Most people say not to fertilize while the plant is resting. And when it's going to go into bloom, use a fertilizer with a High 'middle' number. And some people say once it blooms or is close to opening, do not fertilize.
Phrags need much more light than Paphs, a good Medium to High is what I do.
Temp: besseae likes cooler temps...it can even tolerate winter night time as low as 48 degrees F.
Always keep the roots damp.
Hopefully you'll get other responses from forum members, because everyone has different ways of growing, and with experience you will see what works best for you. Everyone lives in different areas with differing amounts of light and temperature.
Good Luck!
