Phragmipedium caricinum
This is a Brazilian Phragmipedium that occurs in the West Amazon region and likes lots of humidity as is common with Phrags. It has thin leaves and can produce flower after flower on the same stem for more than four months. Although my plant is healthy, it has been a struggle to try to get rid of some sort of fungus that dries the tip of the leaves and has infected my plant years ago.

Fantastic phrag - love those petals
I can understand what your saying about the leaf tips. My richteri is doing the same thing. It's not build up from fertilizers or drying out . So it could be water quality or as you said fungus of some kind. My other phrags are doing well.
Still trying to sort this out.

I thought the same, I mean, that water could be a problem. But I grow other phargs and Paphs, Draculas and Masdevallias and they all are doing well.

Mauro,
I'm going to pick up a few bottles of water next week, I've got 4 new growths and they are still very small - they aren't growing well at all. Some of the tips are browning aswell

If water quality is an issue, you can't beat RO water for quality.

Yep I agree with you, Ross. I do have a couple of R.O units - only 1 membrane. Dont' want to open up a new membrane unless I'm sure its the issue with my tap water itself. But if it is ... I've got a unit already to go
Mauro - I hope you get this figured out soon.

So do I, Lagoon! Although my plant is large and growing well, it is not beautiful having the tips cut off. I am sure that the problem is not with the water. As I said before, I grow Draculas and Masdies with the same water with no problems (and you know how they are as for water quality!). I really am having a headache with that...
