I changed today my phragmipedium into S/H. I drilled a hole on one side of this glass vase. It's growing a new fan and some new roots. I hope I won't kill her.

It looks good. Why'd you move it into s/h?

Cheers.

I decided to change it into S/H because I've read in many posts that they love it. I hope she'll get all the moist she needs this way.

I've been thinking of trying to drill some glasses for s/h but I keep thinking all I'll do is wind up breaking them. How did you drill the hole?
I have a phrag China Dragon seedling in s/h and it's growing like a weed.

I drilled the hole with a special diamond drill. It's quite easy. I put the vase on it's side in a recepient with water so the vase was covered in order to cool the drill. You drill without percusion and in a few minutes the hole is made. The diamond drill is quite expensive, though (15 euro).
