It's very pretty! The pouch zit may have been caused by letting the plant dry out too much while that bud was developing. I had a Paph. do that once when it went too long between waterings.

I suppose it could be, but I water it pretty much every day and then it is always standing in a bit of water. So it sure never dries out! strange thing is it did the very same thing last year on the first bloom! It opened real well and is nice and flat ad the plant itself is real healthy looking. I wonder if it isn't because of the 4N chromosome thing myself!

I was thinking that it could be due to the ploidity of the cross. Regardless, its quite nice!

Good and bad news I guess. At least I know its not cultural, but I guess I can't change the fact that its 4N so I can likely expect more of these little spiky warts! I think the 4N has given it a real solid substantial flower from the little I know of Phrags.
