Cypripedium kentuckiense in flower earlier in the year

I have been so far behind sorting through my photos that I've only just got to my Cyp ones from May/Jun.

Anyway, this was the first flowering for me of the Cyp kentuckiense that I bought in November last year. It was difficult to get good pics with the sunlight shining on it, but it's a good memory of what a wonderful flower this was.

I'm really hoping I can get better shots with my new camera next year.
