Easy, Compact Phrags to buy ?

I'm slowly increasing my Phrag. collection, and since space is at a premium, I need some good recommendations...
I have already scanned thru previous postings, problem was that many of the Phrags recommended I do not see available for sale at all anywhere (Phrag. Olaf Gruss being one of them)......

So if anyone can recommend or share with me the compact Phrags they have, and perhaps point me in the direction of where I can find them, I would really appreciate it.

I am totally new to phrags and just ordered my first one from Ecuagenera to try. It just happens to be one of the parents of Phrag. Olaf Gruss -the hybrid you mentioned. Phragmipedium pearcei .
I don't know if it helps, but it is still on their website at $15 only.

Anything with schlimii or fischeri as a parent or (probably) grandparent will stay reasonably small... Pink Panther is one. Phrag besseae itself doesn't get huge, but when you cross it with one of the big ones like sargentianum the hybrids can be pretty unruly. You can make quite a collection just working through those three species.

You can still find Olaf Grus (can't make the right character on the keyboard....), or you might find it as Ecua-bess - they are pretty much the same thing. People have them. I used to have several... It isn't really my favorite.
