Default New Slipper Orchids.....

Hi all,

Today I have deflasked some Paph concolor var album and some Tolumnia's. Also I have managed to get some nice sized Paph and Phrags. Some are seedlings and some have flowered before....anyway here are the photos. There are a few other plants but I did not get time to photograph those as well. The concolors are huge in flask but I broke so many roots they may go backwards in growth before they get better.......

Paph concolor before deflasking:

Just out of the flask before potting up.......great plants by the way, the only issue is that the roots are like a mat, I had to break most to get them apart........

Potted individually, the roots were mostly broken. Some people say that patience will give you time to get them apart but there is no way I could have separated them without breaking a few........

The seedling tray with the Tolumnias included:

New Paphs and Phrags which include some pretty big plants of the following:

Paph Ma Belle
Paph Jade Dragon (with 2 spikes if you can believe that)
Paph rothschildianum
Paph randsii
Paph William Trelease
Phrag Noirmont 4N
Phrag Grande 'Chinaman'
Phrag Perseus 'Highclere'

Small seedlings you can see at the front include:

6 x Phrag Caudatum
4 x Paph Liberty Taiwan
2 x Chou Yi Wench

There are others as well (also not in photo) but they were to big to fit on the bench. Anyway it's been a good couple of weeks I think.

Yes they are quite big and it's a shame I had so much trouble with roots but I am confident they will recover. Thanks guys!
