Carol nailed it - they're Spathoglottis. These would need protection from freeze, but should grow well down into the 40's.
Bletilla was my guess before I saw the pics. These are killer plants for flower beds in our zone. Freeze back in winter and put on a great show with the spring bulbs. One of my favorite garden plants.
As for Cyps: at our latitude, our only option (without vernalizing them inf the freezer) is kentuckiense. It doesn't get cold enough for long enough to support long-term culture of other Cyp species. Kind of like Tulips - we can plant them and enjoy them for a season but they don't get the winter chill they need to reset.
