Thanks, I thought about submitting a cyp parviflorum, but I was only allowed three pics. I even picked out some of my other unused photos, which are just as good. I decided not to submit parviflorum because I didn't think there was a large enough group of cypripedium fans here, so I stuck with the tropical orchids.

Let me know if you want a parviflorum instead of what I already submitted Marty...I noticed our logo is a parviflorum too

Fren, there are two native North American Yellow Ladyslipper Orchids. Cypripedium calceolus (Yellow Lady Slipper) and Cypripedium calceolus parviflorum. For reference I have attached two thums illustrating each:

As you can tell, there is not a lot of difference between the two other than the Small Yellow Lady Slipper is (obviously) smaller and grows under differing conditions. I checked C. parviflorum and it is syn. with C. calceolus parviflorum. My feeling is the vendor may be correct as well as you are probably correct.
