Default New plants

Because I'm hopeless at growing these I decided to buy even more despite a few recent losses, they arrived today and I repotted them. I must admit that one or two aren't in great condition but I think I can save those. Bought from an orchid Nursery that is closing down next month.......

Paph Micranthum 'Red 'n' Gold' x Fumi's Gold
Paph Magic Lantern 'Hsiao' x hangianum
Paph armeniacum x hangianum
Paph Fanaticum x vietnamense 'Hsiao'
Paph rothschildianum 'Flora' x hangianum 'Hsiao'
Paph venustum alba x Venustum 'Flat Petals'
Paph esquirolei 'W.O.C. x self

And to top things off I bought........

Masd Falcom Sunrise x Masd (Enchantment x Baby Doll)

Anyone know how I should grow the roth hybrid???

Thanks

Yay Paphs!
Excellent selection of plants you have there! I wish I could have some of those, they are all good crosses

The roth hybrid can be grown in medium light as a seedling (I'm assuming it's a seedling since it is a new cross). As a mature plant it will need higher light though for it to bloom to it's full potential.
Keep the humidity high as well. I think it will grow well in warm temps.

The roth seedling is considered to be Nearly flowering size although it's never flowered before. I will give it as much natural light as possible without causing any problems.

I will have to grow it inside the house here where the temps range from 54F (minimum night temp in winter) to 95F (maximum day temp in summer) depending on the time of year. I will keep it outside under shade during summer as well.....but will be careful as it can get over 100F at times.

Fingers crossed, it sounds like it has a lot of potential anyway.

;-)

Thanks!!!!

I'll paid for a paph roth x hangianum seedling to be shipped next month.

hehe...USA is way behind because of their laws Some reason paph hybrids can be banned too...lol

Paph Magic Lantern 'Hsiao' x hangianum should be a winning cross too, I imagine
and Paph armeniacum x hangianum too
...I think hangianum is give a lot into paph breeding, especially for flower size! Do you have pictures of examples of these crosses?

Actually I have no idea of what it should look like.......it's an interesting cross and the seedlings are tiny.

I managed to get two of them at $5 each (about $4 American) but they are tiny and could take a couple of years to bloom.
