Phrag. Cape bonanza

So I took a photo this morning for you Anthony.
The plants stands about 1 foot tall (funny it looks smaller to me) Anyhow the leaves are fairly compact in size, slightly bushy affect.

thank you so much for taking that! I really appreciate it It looks like a pretty compact size for a phrag and you can definitely see the pearcei in the leaves, I like it! It looks like you grow yours with the pot placed in a saucer? do you have water in the saucer? What medium do you use?

Also, looks like ya got another Phrag coming into bloom behind it, no?

Not a problem, you're welcome Anthony. It was watering day for the phrags. So the plates are to catch any drips of water.
This time of year I don't sip most of my phrags, its the summer time when I find it hard to keep up with the waterings ... this is when I favor the sipping time. Altho I still water from the tops of the plants, I also use the fast sip method when I don't have alot of time - 2inches on the bottom plates with disstilled water.

My media mix is about 40/40 of high quality peatmoss and small bark, the rest is perlite and charcoal. Its moist, stays open and drains really well.

I think you have an eye for pearcei The phrag in bud is a pearcei cross - Phrag. Patti MacHale (sargentianum x pearcei)This one is bigger then the cape bonanza a good grower and a great blommer.

Its a great time of the year for us phrag growers and so many are beginning to come into spike and bloom season.
