Cypripediums 2009
Hey everyone! It's been a long time since I posted on Orchid Board; I've been very busy but I am now starting to read the forum more actively again. Thought it would be nice to share some pics of Cyps that bloomed in my garden this year. Some of these were new acquisitions for this year and some I've had for a few years. There are around 30 Cyps in my garden that I have collected over the past 8 years, though I have only had most for 4 years or less. They have taken the place over! I didn't have a lot of time over the spring and summer to take pictures, so I only have a few, but I hope you enjoy them!
In order, the pictures are: Cyp Gisela, Cyp Emil, Cyp Ulla Silkens, another Ulla Silkens, Cyp Emil again, Cyp parviflorum var. pubescens, Cyp montanum, another Cyp montanum, Cyp reginae, and Cyp passerinum.

Wow! And you're in Canada no less. I'm in New England.
I have a question about the next to the last picture, of Cyp reginae. Did you use macro stacking or another depth of field enhancing technique?

Nope - I don't use any kind of software or digital enhancements on my photos, although I am looking into it for the future, since I don't have a macro lens and many of my photos turn out pretty crappy.
