My wife and I found this while on vacation. The label on the bottom just calls it a lady slipper. I thought it would be nice to try to find a real live lady slipper to put next to it but I have no idea what would be a close match for it. Anyone have any ideas??

Try paphiopedilum barbatum, that is similar. I'd think this ornament looks like what would be a mottled leaf paph

It does look as though the artist was portraying a Paphiopedilum barbatum. Interesting that the leaves are plain green; this species and its close relatives have mottled leaves.

You will likely find that Maudiae type hybrids are easier to find than the species, if you don't need the exact same thing. Search for "Paph Maudiae" and that will get you started. There are countless different color patterns in that group; they are what got me hooked on Paphs and they probably will get you too!
