Default Cypripedium parviflorum var. pubescens in my garden

I'm back from vacation and I was afraid this plant was too dehydrated when I came back (my first thing was to check my cyps when I came back!). However this is my best blooming of this parviflorum var. pubescens! The six large blooms just opened this Saturday and I'm very pleased. I saw a tiny wasp fly by too during the photo shoot. I thought I'd share, thanks for looking. I've had this plant for three years, starting from a two stem plant.

It grows in approx. 12 inch pot, sunk into the ground. It grows near spruce trees and gets eastern sun from the morning until early afternoon. I may move it into are larger pot after next year if it gets too big, or plant it permanently in the ground.

It grows next to some siberian irises. I think it is definitely not grown as a shade plant here. It gets direct eastern sun for more than half the day, morning till early afternoon. I've read plants clump faster in sunnier locations

The medium is a mix of sand, gravel, perlite, peat, soil, dolomite lime and some orchid bark. I forgot the exact proportions. The medium should provide enough moisture, yet still drain well. It should be fluffy rather than compact. I water it as I water my other plants, every few days.

The soil line in the 12 inch pot is slightly lower than that of the earth around the pot. I have covered the area with leaves. I think the bottom of the pot is all gravel if I remember correctly
