Hi all,
I see some vendors are selling some "mini/compact" hybrids. Wondering if any of you are growing them and how big do they actually get? I mean the whole plant? I love phrags but I haven't much room so very curious. Thanks for any help
I'm interested in this answer too. I was drooling over the compacts Woodstream has on their website. I don't want to get too excited though if they really aren't that small.
I'd say they don't get too big. If you have room for an oncidium intergenetic, then you'll have room for a compact phrag hybrid like Phrag Olaf Gruss. I'd call it a moderate sized orchid
Ooo la la! I get light headed just thinking about them! Too funny Yvan! You and I have very similar taste in plants. Could be due to our tiny growing space....or lack there of!
Oh Woodstream is incredible! I am phragged out from the local orchid show though. I cannot buy anything unless something dies. No room at the inn. Carol
I asked Woodstream about the size and here is their reply "The leaf span for first bloom could be 6-8 inches leaf span in a 2-3" pot depending on cross. Have several crosses with 8-10 growths in 4-5 inch pots when a few years old with 10-12 inch leaf span." Are you sure you have no room? lol!
