Multifloral???? Male
Default Multifloral????

This is my NOID paph which I call Paph (Tuxedo Junction x Macabre) for identification. From my limited experience it should not be multifloral, but it seem like it is trying. The sister growth (which developed at the same time) bloomed way back in March. I didn't think this growth was going to bloom, but I guess it was just getting supercharged. This what it look like when it does bloom.

Looks like it has a nice flower. Too bad it is a NOID.

Hey, my Paph. Vanda M. Pearman by all accounts should not be multifloral, but when it bloomed, it put on two blooms. So its entirely possible that yours will give off a double for your money show. Congrats!

Usually the terminal bud never develops but can if the plant decides it's healthy and happy enough to carry two flowers. Good growingg and let us know if that bud matures to flower.

Ken, I used to have Paph. urbanianum that twice produced two flowers per spike although it is generally known as single-flowering. As suggested, I think a healthy, happy plant sometimes has the energy to produce a second flower on the same spike.
