Phrags with very long sepals?
What species should a person look for, either as a plant or a parent in a hybrid, to find Phrags with the longest sepals?

Hi Sue! There are quite a few. Some of the longest are:
Phrag. caudatum
Phrag. lindenii
Phrag. wallisii
Mont Fallu, Green Dragon, Majestic Tresses, and Tall Tails are some of the hybrids that have this trait.
Are you going to get one???

Thanks Shannan
I knew about the caudatum but not the others.
No, this is not for me...Phrags and I do not get along
My friend Linda is doing well with hers and she (like me) really likes the ones with the longest sepals. I told her I'd get some info from the great folks at OB

Sue, try Phrags in S/H... I always thought I would never make it with Phrags, then my partner gave me one Phrag Jason Fischer (he just liked the name ) and I put in S/H: Already 6 month with me, two new groth and still alive!!! Then I decided to buy a Phrag wallisii, and it is also doing great in S/H after 5 months... they should bloom next year

Someday I might decide to try them again...but I've managed to kill the two I had
With so many others to care for and enjoy, I don't mind just enjoying the Phrags of my friends

Paul, it is a great Plant... I know it from the wild in Venezuela, growing in the Andes... it can become a very large plant though...
