Phragmipedium Fritz Schomburg
Last year it blasted its bud… this flower is worth the wait! Grown on a cool windowsill, in leca with a resevoir of water. From Ecuagenera, summer 22.

I’ve seen that— I’m pleased this one isn’t floppy. But it’s just luck… it’s not a “select” plant, just what Ecuagenera sent.

That's the gamble of buying seedlings paying off! Congrats! It will probably only get better!

So on its second day open, it has spread out a little and become just the tiniest bit floppy. 5 inch span.

Here it is again! Two flowers at once, yay. Previously there was a single flower in this spike.
