I just went to my first orchid themed in-person event since late 2019... It was a pop-up orchid & aroid show / sale from Ecuagenera. The place was swarmed from the start, but luckily, I think most were there for the aroids, and I was able to find some nice phragmipediums and masdevallias. I even got a few in flower.

I've been looking for a while to get a good phrag Besseae, and when I saw the one pictured, I snatched it up. It's a really unique coloring and not something I'd ever seen on a Besseae. Just thought I'd share. It doesn't come through perfectly on the picture, but the main color is like a coral-peach-pink, really bright. I'll try to see if I can't get a better lit photo a bit later today now that it's open a bit more.

I like that. It does look a bit like Nicole Tower.

That is a large beautiful plant. I am a bit scared of Besseae because they are climbers and I have no idea how to mount one. I usually get Besseae hybrids to try to dilute the Besseae somewhat with longifolium or something like that. That's my theory anyway.
