I need you to help me spend my money!
While I’m somewhat experienced at growing orchids, Phrags are still relatively new to me. I bought a Phrag Sedenii 2 years ago and love the flowers and the fact that it’s a super easy and fast-growing plant.
I now want to buy another Phrag, and spotted a couple at the vendor I’m ordering from that I think might fit my criteria. But not being very knowledgeable in Phrags, I would like some help. My criteria are:
- Grows intermediate-warm (my grow area is usually 17-25°C / 62-77°F), and can cope with heatwaves which are now becoming a yearly occurrence (30°C/ 85°F in my apartment)
- Beginner friendly
- Preferably something that stays somewhat compact.
My choices so far:
Phrag. longifolium x St Ouen
Phrag. QF Maria (lindleyanum x dalessandroi)
Phrag. Geralda (caudatum x lindleyanum)
Do any of these meet my criteria? I read that long petal types are not the easiest to start with, which would exclude the last one, and also don’t know how warmth tolerant any of them are.
