Default Spectacular flower

I have purchased (way too many) seedlings over the past 3 years. This season I was awarded with a spectacular flower from a previously unbloomed, and as yet unnamed, plant (Grand Dame x Pink Passion).

I could not submit it for AOS judging, as the spike hit something before I got it staked, so it has a 'kink' in the middle of the flowers. Also, somehow the anther got knocked off the first flower to open.

I will have to grow it on, so I can submit it with a properly staked spike next year. I have not measured the flower yet, as it is just barely opened, but I just had to share this one.

That sounds like a Loren Batchman cross. If so, send Karl a photo and "nudge" him to register it, or let you name and register it with Batchman as the hybridizer.

It is, I did, and I asked Karl for permission already. He is busy with show season, so we will talk about it later.

Too bad he will not let you register it but I know Loren always wanted to register his own crosses. I have several of his seedlings blooming now going into show season, so I will have to give Karl a serious "nudge" to register!
